The North-South Commuter project under the Build Build Build infrastructure program of the Duterte Administration will interconnect Clark, Pampanga(Region 3), Malolos, Bulacan (region 3), Tutuban, Manila (NCR) and Calamba, Laguna (Region 4). This mass transportation railway has a massive 147km line.
Funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and will constructed by Sumitomo-Mitsui Construction as this mass railway will also create thousands of local jobs.

3. PNR Calamba (Manila – Calamba, Laguna)
The ongoing construction of Phase 1 has an estimate of 200,000 to 300,000 passengers can accommodate daily, the travel time will cut down from 105mins to just 35mins from Tutuban to Malolos as trains will run at 120km/hr in an elevated electrified line. The railway is expected to open by the 4th quarter of 2021.
Phase 1 has 13 operational fleet within 10 stations: Tutuban, Solis, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Meycauayan, Bocaue, Balagtas, Guguinto and Malolos. The station will add 5 more stations in the future.
The North-South railway will definitely ease the traffic congestion in capital Manila as provincial passengers will have added convenience. Phase 2 a 53km railway (Malolos-Clark) and Phase 3 a 56km railway (Manila-Calamba) will be implemented when Phase 1 is finished and operational.

Though the development of the project, it will affect at least 12,000 families where the majority are informal settlers, National Housing Authority, Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, and local government units will help them to relocate.
The government also released projects like the extension of Clark to Subic railway, the Unified Grand Central Station, the Harbor Link Segment 10, the MRT3 Rehabilitation program and others.
