» Swedish And Taiwanese As One Of Many Same-Sex Foreign Couple Married In Taiwan
Swedish national Stefan and Taiwanese Chin Jui tie the knot as one of the first foreign couple to marry under the same sex marriage of Taiwan. The couple now registered and married in Hsinchu City.
The couple have been dating in the last four years and Stefan is planning to move to Hsinchu to be with Chin Jiu. Due to work circumstances, the couple are temporality living apart and only visit each other for two to three times per year.

According to the household officials of Hsinchu City, the couple are clearly very much in love with each other. The couple even have a matching tattoo and on Chin Jui facebook account, they are seen happy with each other while having vacation in Bohol, Philippines.

They met in Japan while Stefan is working out for his master’s degree while Chin Jui is currently on a tour. That being said is a destiny of love and now they are married as Stefan is planning to move in Taiwan.
The couple have the plan to marry and as soon as Stefan saw the news that Taiwan legalized the same-sex marriage, he immediately arrange his documents and booked a flight to Taiwan. Foreign nationals can register their marriage as long as their documents are properly notarized by their embassies.

Foreign nationals can marry same gender in Taiwan if their country have approved same treatment. Countries like Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, , the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, some areas of UK and US.
