Foreign visitors and travelers in Taiwan will get a 2 hour free bicycle rental at Sun Moon Lake in Nantou between October 4 to November 9. The first two hours bike rental will be absolutely free according the organizers of the “Sun Moon Lake Come! Bikeday”.
Sun Moon Lake is sorrounded by good biking routes in central Taiwan’s Nantou County, the place is named as one of the world’s top 10 cycling paths by CNN Go, an online travel guide affiliated with U.S.-based Cable News Network (CNN).
This is to encourage foreign travelers to ride bikes at Sun Moon Lake and experience why CNN include it As one of the best place to bike on.
Bike rental shops will be announced or anyone may find those shops around, passport must be shown to approve and get the free bike rental.
There will be an event in Sun Moon Lake on November 3 where the organizers encourage foreigners in Taiwan to join the bicycle event.
Three bicycle routes will be set up, a 30-kilometer course, a 10-km event on a bicycle path, and a special bike route for children. A maximum of 3000 beneficiary will open for the free bike rental.
