Distressed Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) all over the world may message their concerns to Philippine authorities through a Facebook page, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.
OFW Help facebook page will use to better serve OFWs in need of government assistance. OFW HELP is the official emergency page of the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers' Affairs (OUMWA) of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
OFW HELP Facebook page is the DFA-OUMWA's digital frontline responding to urgent concerns of overseas Filipinos through OUMWA's 24/7 Communications and Operations Center.
OFW Help will only deal with emergency cases of non- OWWA member overseas Filipinos. All labor cases are handled by OWWA.
OFW Help also coordinates with following government agencies:
*Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)
*Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA)
*Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA)
*Bonafide Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
