Danhai Light Rail transit system in New Taipei launched three new themed trains designed by Taiwanese illustrator Jimmy Liao which were based on his artworks, as announced by New Taipei Metro Corporation (NTMC).
The trains are decorated with Liao’s paintings as well as dolls inspired by the characters in Jimmy Liao's illustrated books.

Since the opening of the Danhai Light Rail at the end of last year, more than 3.5 million people have come ride and it has become the latest tourist highlight of Danshui, New Taipei.
The illustration design of art extends from the platform or station of the trains. The New Taipei City Government actively promotes the North Coast Tourism.

The inside and outside of the car trains were decorated with colorful illustations. The train also had super cute physical dolla. Letting tourists get on the light rail train is like stepping into the world of illustrations.
