In a statement from Baguio City government, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the summer capital of the Philippines Baguio City enter a memorandum of agreement to set up a cable car system connecting Pugo in La Union and Baguio City.

Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade ordered Undersecretary Mark Richmund De Leon to fast track the deal for the project, in a statement release by Baguio City mayor Benjamin Magalong.
