Contract electronics manufacturer Pegatron Corp which assembles Apple Inc’s iPhones reported a profit of NT$6billion due to strong demands of iPhone sales.
With an improved product mix, the current iPhone 11 series shows consumers more interest to buy. Even the high profit, Pegatron chief still conservative on the results.
“Next year will be a defining year for 5G technology products, new smartphone models, devices that use the Internet of Things [IoT], wearables and gaming consoles,” Pegatron chief executive officer S.J. Liao said.
The company, which has pledged to invest NT$14.9 billion in Taiwan, is expanding its plants in Taoyuan’s Gueishan District. More of its production line will relocate China to Vietnam and India.
