John Leerams Chicano who is known as Rambo by fellow athletes and friends as he bring the very first gold medal for the Philippines as the 2019 Southeast Asian Games started on Dec 1.
John Chicano is a good cyclist but suddenly stop because he became a father of a beautiful baby girl.
He needed a job for a living for his family and hired to a regular customer’s bike shop to work as a janitor and helper. The owner of the shop is Melvyn Fausto who is the coach of national triathlon team.
Fausto decided to turn Rambo into a triathlete and he taught him how to swim. In just three months, Chicano became a triathlete.
Chicano was hood enough and compete in triathlon events and he won silver medal in the 2017 SEA Games behind his partner Nikko Huelgas.
In the current SEA Games, John Chicano just won another gold medal for mixed relay event for triathlon.
