After hosting and winning the overall championship of the recently concluded 2019 Southeast Asian Games, President Rodrigo Duterte and Malacañang are ready to welcome the all the athletes in a red carpet.
Under Republic Act 10699, cash bonuses of P300,000, P150,000 and P60,000 will be given to gold-, silver- and bronze-medal winners.

An additional incentives of P250,000 for gold; P150,000 for silver; and P100,000 for bronze medalists will also be given by President Duterte.
“We all hoped and prayed for this, but it is still a sweet surprise now that it is actually happening. I am so proud of our athletes. All of them deserve our respect and love,” said Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Butch Ramirez in a interview.
