Taiwan's largest carrier China Airline (CAL) announced that starting March 2020 it will start regular flights to Mactan, Cebu of the Philippines.
Cebu is the second-largest city in the Philippine behind Davao City and considered the second capital of the Philippines next to Metro Manila.
China Airlines will use 737-880 planes to serve the round-trip route on a regular basis between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport and Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Flight will benon daily basis except Tuesdays and its maiden flight to Cebu will start on March 29, 2020.
CAL flight CI705 will depart from Taoyuan at 7:40 a.m. and arrive in Cebu 10:35 a.m., while flight CI706 takes off at 11:35 a.m. from Cebu and returns to Taoyuan at 2:30 p.m.
CAL will offer special round-trip ticket prices on its maiden flight starting at NT$5,060 (Php8,500). Taiwan and Philippines shares high demand of air passengers daily.
