Palawan's El Nido in the Philippines emerged as the the most popular travel destination for Taiwanese tourists, according to an analysis data of travel website Booking.com, reported by CNA.
El Nido is followed by Göreme in Turkey, Chiang Rai in Thailand, Kitakyushu in Japan and Seogwipo in South Korea for the top 5 favorites among Taiwanese tourist according to the website.
The site credited El Nido's beautiful natural landscape, which comprises limestone cliffs, white sand beaches and lagoons, for its popularity amongst tourists, while Göreme's rock formations and churches are the town's biggest draw for visitors.
Palawan is described as “a gorgeous haven of pale sand and clear water”. Aside from El Nido, the island also has stunning sites of Puerto Princesa, Coron and the developing town of San Vicente which are identified as tourism enterprise zone.
Meanwhile, according to Condé Nast Traveler, a luxury and lifestyle travel guide magazine, Philippines arose as the top 8 favorite country in the world.
