The recruitment agency that deployed Jeanelyn Villavende to work as domestic helper in Kuwait has been suspended, according to the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Undersecretary Bernard Olalia.
Olalia said the recruitment agency was suspended after it failed to provide a report regarding Villavende's situation and grant her request for repatriation.
“Inamin naman nila na hindi sila nakapagbigay ng monitoring report and that’s the reason why there was a disciplinary action imposed upon the agency,” Olalia said.
