Foundry house Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC) and testing house King Yuan Electronics Corporation (KYEC) have both obtained orders for automotive AI chips specifically from Intel.
The orders for both TSMC and KYEC sets to generate high revenues this 2020, according to industry sources.
Taiwan-based testing house King Yuan Electronics (KYEC) is expected to see its first-quarter 2020 revenues hit the highest record ever for the same quarter with monthly revenues to ramp up through October, driven by robust demand for testing handset, AI, CMOS image sensor (CIS) and 5G base stations chips, according to industry sources.
TSMC revenues will surely soar more higher with their upcoming 5nm chip fabrication as demand from customers remains high that includes Apple and Huawei.
KYEC's revenues and profits for 2020 are both expected to register double-digit annual increases in 2020, with its highest monthly revenue record of NT$2.4 billion.
