A plane skidded off the runway at Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport, crashing into althe road and breaking into pieces, injuring 21 people as reported by several media.
Footage shows serious damage to the plane, with the fuselage appearing to be broken into three pieces.
NTV television reported that the plane caught fire after skidding but said it had been extinguished, firefighters unable to take out the flame quickly.
The aircraft belongs to low-budget Turkish airline Pegasus. Turkey Transportation Ministry says there were 177 passengers on board but no one has been killed, the accident was the result of a "rough landing."
According to NTV, some passengers are believed to be stuck on the plane but officials are currently helping them. The majority of passengers were able to exit the plane by themselves.
