Taiwan reported two more confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus or Covid-19 which bring the total case to 22, reported by Central News Agency.
The announcement was made by Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Monday (Feb 17), both new cases are relatives of the 19th confirmed case who became the first person to die due to the virus in Taiwan.
The 21st patient was the mother of the 19th confirmed case while the 22nd case was the nephew of the deceased man, said Taiwan Health Minister Chen Shih-chung.
The two new people infected with the virus are suspected of contracting it at a family gathering on Lunar New Year last Jan. 27.
The 19th patient died with pneumonia and sepsis after being diagnosed as having infected with the virus shortly before his death.
