Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) affirmed the decision of the Philippine government and expressed sincere gratitude to the relevant agencies and people who have assisted this positive development.
The Philippine government decided to lift the travel ban on Taiwan after a cabinet meeting on the Feb 14th. MOFA confirmed this announcement.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Joanne Ou said that the Philippine government convened a cabinet meeting on the afternoon of February 14th and after discussions, understood and affirmed the measures taken by Taiwan in epidemic prevention work.
It became a resolution and announced the immediate cancellation of Taiwan travel ban for travelers.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also continued to explain to the international community that the Taiwan epidemic situation is currently under stable control.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again strongly appeals to the World Health Organization (WHO) that public health and epidemic prevention are not politics, and Taiwan and China are not affiliated with each other.
