The Department of Health announced on Saturday the 6th fatality of coronavirus in the Philippines.
Case #40 died due to severe pneumonia. Based on recent data released by DOH, Case #40 wasn’t exposed to any confirmed case nor did he go abroad. He showed symptoms Feb. 24 and was confined March 3. He was confirmed to have contracted the virus March 11.

Case #40 is Filipino male, 54-years old from Mindanao who was admitted at Northern Mindanano Medical Center in Cagayan de Oro City.
Currently, there were a total 64 cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines after reporting 12 new cases on Friday night.
