Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and foreigners can travel abroad from Luzon during the "enhanced community quarantine" in the area according to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
The continues operation of airports in Luzon is a new guideline of the enhanced community quarantine scrapping the 72hr deadline set last Mar 17.
"OFWs and foreign nationals leaving for abroad shall be allowed to leave the Philippines anytime for the duration of the enhanced community quarantine, provided that proof of international travel itinerary scheduled within 24 hours must be presented," Nograles said in a press briefing.
Filipino migrant workers should be to their respective airports or seaports by a transport vehicles provided by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), he added.
Despite the change in the guidelines, Nograles noted that travel would still be subjected to restrictions already in place in the country.
OFWs who are returning to the country, meanwhile, will be given transport services by OWWA, Nograles assured.
