Philippines now has 1,075 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with new 272 infections
The Department of Health on March 28 announced 272 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases in the country to 1,075.
With additional 14 deaths recorded, the total of fatalities now swells to 68 while a total of 35 patients have recovered from the highly-contagious viral disease today after recording three new recoveries.
DOH, earlier has clarified that the sudden increase of recorded cases was due to the additional test kits of the country which enable them to test more individuals.
As of Friday, the Health Department has tested a total of 2,287 individuals. Of these, 791 have tested negative and 691 have pending results.
Persons under investigation were at 744 while persons under monitoring were at 6,321.
