A strong magnitude 6.1 earthquake rocked Sarangani province Thursday night at 11:38pm, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The epicenter was 22 km southeast of Maasim in Sarangani province. In its Earthquake Information No. 2, Phivolcs said the quake was Magnitude 6.1 and its epicenter was 48km southeast of Maasim.

Damages and aftershocks have already recorded shows data of Philvolcs.
The quake was felt at Intensity 5 in Maasim, Glan, and Malapatan in Sarangani; Tupi in South Cotabato, General Santos City, and Palimbang in Sultan Kudarat.
