29 more patients recovered from COVID-19 in PH, total recoveries jumped to 516
The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday (April 18), reported 29 more patients who have recovered from COVID-19 in the Philippines leading the total recoveries to 516.
Meanwhile, the death toll rose to 397 as 10 more patients succumbed from the disease. The country's total COVID-19 cases also reached 6,087 after recording 209 newly infected individuals.
The Philippines has ramped up to 17 facilities that can conduct testing for COVID-19 with the addition of Chinese General Hospital in Manila, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles announced Saturday.
“Ngayon, noong IATF briefing noong Miyerkules, nabanggit ko na nasa 16 na po ang testing centers sa buong bansa,” Nograles, who is also the spokesperson for the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), said in a briefing.
