41 more patients recovered from COVID-19 in Ph, total recoveries now at 613
The Philippines now has 613 total COVID-19 recoveries as the Department of Health (DOH) announced on Monday (April 20), 41 more patients who have recovered from the disease.
The health department also confirmed 200 new coronavirus cases breaching a total of 6,459. On the other hand, 19 more patients have succumbed from the disease raising the death toll to 428.
The DOH said that a COVID-19 patient takes 13 days up to more than a month to recover, depending on the severity of the symptoms.
As more recoveries have been recorded compared to deaths, the authorities are urging the public to stay at home, practice regular hand washing, sneezing and coughing etiquette and social distancing when going outdoors.
