A team of medical experts from China arrived in Manila on Sunday, to give advise and assist the country in fight of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
It was Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. who announced in a twitter post the arrival of 12 medical doctors and two officials from China.
The medical team is intended to share medical treatment experience and technical advice on epidemic control and prevention.
The Chinese team also brought masks, personal protective equipment, and non-invasive ventilators according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.
On Saturday, Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases spokesperson Karlo Nograles said that the government has authorized the arrival of the Chinese medical team in the country.
