DOH reports 12 new recoveries, as death toll increased by five
Twelve more patients have been recovered from COVID-19 as there were only five new fatalities today, April 8, according to the Department of Health (DOH).
The total number of recoveries now in the country rose to 96 while the death toll was moved to 182 based on the bulletin released by DOH.
The DOH also reported 106 new cases bringing the country total to 3,870.
To avoid further transmission, the authorities are continuously urging the public to practice regular handwashing, proper coughing and sneezing etiquette and to abide by the preventive measures implemented.
Earlier, the DOH said that the government is trying its best to increase the testing capacity of the country to 20,000 daily by April 27.
