The Department of Health on Tuesday (April 7), announced 14 new fatalities raising the death toll to 177.
The DOH also reported 104 new cases which moved the country's total infection to 3,764 and 84 total recoveries after noting 11 newly recovered patients.
The department said that the Philippine government is currently working to gradually increase the testing capacity of the country to 20,000 COVID-19 tests daily by April 27.
Earlier on Monday, DOH confirmed that the country now has 10 subnational laboratories capable of testing patients infected with COVID-19.
