Keelung government on search for Kuo-Kuang 1813 male passenger at risk for COVID-19
The Keelung City government is now searching for the male passenger who sat next to a navy sailor infected with COVID-19 in Keelung-bound Kuo-Kuang 1813 bus on Friday (April 17) between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Keelung City Mayor Lin Yu-chang said the navy sailor who is tagged as Taiwan's coronavirus case No. 409, visited the Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport Taipei Station on Friday before getting on the bus to Keelung at 9:35 p.m. He added that six family members including the bus driver who have been in close contact with the patient, are now under quarantine.
The man who sat next to the patient however, is not yet found. Lin is now urging the individual to come forward and contact the authorities by calling 1922 or 02-24276154.
Lin described the male passenger as a man of his 30s wearing flowery T-shirt with round dots. The color of the shirt is unidentified due to the black-and-white nature of the surveillance camera.
Meanwhile, 43 other passengers were believed to be safe as the surveillance footage showed that the Navy patient did not take off his mask during the bus ride.
