The Philippines now has 247 deaths and 4,428 confirmed cases of the deadly coronavirus disease according to the Department of Health on Saturday (April 11).
The agency reported 233 new cases and 26 more patients who succumbed from the disease as of 4p.m., today.
Meanwhile, 17 patients have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 157.
Health experts have estimated that the number of cases in the country may reach anywhere between 26,000 to 75,000.
On the other hand, a separate study in the University of the Philippines has said that a peak of COVID-19 cases in the country will take place by the end of April to June, with approximately 140,000-550,000 infected individuals in Metro Manila alone.
