The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday (July 3), reported 1,531 more individuals who have contracted the new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the country total to 40,336 cases.
In addition to the 688 fresh cases, 843 late cases were also reported today. Today's fresh cases are based on the daily accomplishment reports submitted by only 57 out of 73 current operational labs.
Based on the data shown by the DOH, a total of 11,073 patients have already recovered from the disease as 400 new recoveries have been recorded today. Meanwhile, with 6 new fatalities, the death toll has already rose to 1,280.
All reported deaths occurred in June, The total cases reported may be subject to change as these numbers undergo constant cleaning and validation.
