Picture of endangered megabat in PH shocked netizens
An old picture of an enormous, endangered bat has recently circulated online and even stormed in a Taiwanese Facebook group named "Baofei Society."
A facebook user uploaded the photo onto the group, hoping to identify the species of the large bat.
Later on, the bat was identified by a Hong Kong facebook user, as a giant golden-crowned flying fox, which is considered as the largest species of bat in the world, according to Apple Daily.
The bat has a wingspan of up to 1.7 meters (5.58 feet) and can be found in the Philippines. It is also a vegetarian and primarily consumes fruits.
Netizens now wonder why the bat seems to be in a roof of a house when facts say that giant golden-crowned flying fox usually lives in forest caves.
