Taiwan reports 4 imported case of COVID-19 from the Philippines and 1 from Hong Kong
Taiwan reported five new cases of Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) imported from the Philippines and Hong Kong, announced by Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Tuesday (July 28).
During a special press conference on Friday, the CECC said that the total number of cases in Taiwan have rose 467.
Case no. 463, 465, 466, and 467 were all came from the Philippines and took the same flight to Taiwan. They also got tested for COVID-19 upon arrival and transported to a quarantine center.
Meanwhile, case No. 464 from Hong Kong since July experienced chills and night sweats on July 16, but the symptoms subsided after he took some medication.
Up until now, seven individuals have succumbed to the disease, while 440 have been released from hospital isolation. This leaves 20 patients still undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in Taiwan.
