Kayang tustusan ng Pilipinas ang vaccination laban sa COVID-19 ng 20 milyong Pilipino, sabi ni Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III sa isang taped meeting.
Ayon kay Dominguez, kayang maglaan ng gobyerno ng $400 million o P20 billion sa tulong ng Philippine International Trading Corp., Land Bank of the Philippines at ng Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) para makabili ng bakuna para sa COVID-19.
“Forty million doses times $10 per dose is $400 million dollars or roughly P20 billion…We can execute it as soon as the Department of Health chooses which vaccines they want. Certainly by late this year, if it’s available, we can already buy,” sabi ni Dominguez.

Kamakailan lamang ay sinabi ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na unang babakunahan ang mga low-income families na nakatanggap ng ayuda mula sa gobyerno sa oras na magkaroon na ng COVID-19 vaccine.
