A kite-flying festival in Taiwan has been interrupted after a three-year-old child was entangled in tail of a giant kite sweeping her more than 100 feet into the air.
The incident happened after a strong wind blew in the international kite festival held in Hsinchu, south of the capital Taipei.
After 30 seconds of being thrown into the air, the toddler was grab by the crowd. The organizer was still unsure how the girl was caught by the kite.
According to Taiwan's government-run Central News Agency, the girl who got minor injuries and abrasion was immediately rushed to the hospital by her mother and event staff.
Meanwhile, Hsinchu Mayor Lin Chih-chien apoligized for the incident, and said the festival was immediately suspended to ensure attendees' safety.
