Taiwan mentioned that a Filipina who had been working in Taiwan tested positive for the virus upon arriving to the Philippines, confirmed by Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
CECC head Chen Shih-chung said that the command center has been notified of a case of a Philippine citizen who has tested positive for the coronavirus after returning from Taiwan.
The asymtomatic Pinay worker in her 30s came to Taiwan for work on Feb. 27 and left Taiwan on Aug. 19 and was tested right away upon arrival in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, there were no new coronavirus cases, leaving the total number of cases in Taiwan at 487.
The health department has identified 21 persons who recently came in contact with the woman while she was still in Taiwan, including coworkers and roommates, Taiwan News reported.
