Tainan to implement mask wearing mandatory to all indoor spaces over increasing COVID-19 cases
Southern Taiwan's Tainan to re-impose mandatory mask-wearing policy in all indoor spaces as measure over the country's increased number of imported COVID-19 according to Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-cher.
Huang pointed out that Taiwan has reported more than 10 imported COVID-19 infections in the last few days and that the Tainan City Government believes it necessary to reintroduce the mask-wearing rule, Taiwan News reported.
The mandatory wearing of mask was made by Tainan officials after consulting with the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), which CECC head reminds the public in wearing mask again.
CECC head also said that Tainan in all of Taiwan has the lowest precentage of people who wear mask.
Huang said all individuals will be required to put on masks in indoor settings unless they are able to maintain a social distance, violators will be fined haevily.
