Taiwan announced one new imported COVID-19 case coming from the Philippines again
The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (Aug 15) that one more foreign immigrant was added. The case was a female in her 20s (Case 482).
After returning to Taiwan on the 13th, she voluntarily informed that she had suspected symptoms when she entered the country. After being checked at the airport, she was sent to the centralized quarantine station for isolation.
The command center also urged the public to wear masks when going to elevators and various entertainment venues, such as hotels, KTVs, cinemas and other confined spaces.
Good hygiene such as hand washing and cough etiquette to reduce the risk of infection.
The command center once again reminded that when entering from abroad, if you have fever, cough and other uncomfortable symptoms, you should actively notify the airport and port quarantine personnel and cooperate with epidemic prevention measures.
