COVID-19 in Metro Manila approaches 200% growth rate, says Roque
According to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque that the growth rate of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila is nearly reached 200%, Reported by GMA NEWS.
Roque said growth rate and average daily attack rate are now the factors that the government is considering for quarantine classifications.
“Kinukumpara 'yung figures every two weeks. 'Yung daily attack rate po, ilan ang nagkaroon per 100,000. At 'yung growth rate, gaano kabilis nag-doble din 'yung mga kaso,” he said.
Roque stated growth rate at more than 200% is considered "high," less than 200% is "moderate," while 0% is low. the growth rate and also the average daily attack rate in Metro Manila are at moderate level.
The Philippines logs 307,288 COVID-19 cases and still the highest across Southeast Asia.
Religious gatherings are allowed under GCQ but only 10% of the venue capacity may be occupied.
