Taiwan based overseas Filipino workers (OFW) or overseas Filipinos (OF) may now have their wedding while working or staying in the country.
Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) has finally opened its doors and will be accepting attestation of DFA apostilled Birth Certificates and Certificate of No Marriage of Filipino couples who wants to get married in Taiwan.
All documents from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) must be notarized by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
TECO will need to authenticate that document as well (both paeties need TECO authentication for birth certificate & cenomar).
The TECO authentication process takes more than a week and you need to either be there in person or have a designated agent to process the papers.
The wedding is officiated at a local household registration (HHR) office in Taiwan. HHR will give you a copy of your marriage certificate written in English.
