OFWs from KYEC in Taiwan collects and donates relief goods for typhoon-hit victims

Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from King Yuan Electronics Co (KYEC) are donating numbers of balikbayan boxes to typhoon-hit victims in Bicol Region and Cagayan.

The group prepares relief such as canned goods, instant noodles, instant coffee, used and new clothings to name a few.

They wrote:

GSCCC (Good Sheperd) and friends would like to express our gratitude to all the volunteers, donors , sponsors and community members on our recent initiative to help the victims of calamities in the Philippines.

Through our collective efforts we were able to raise an amount of NT$22,702. The full amount was remitted to Sister Jocelyn Arevalo in coordination with the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation in the Philippines who will be conducting relief operations in the devastated areas in the country.

In this spirit of Charity we were able to accumulate some LBC and Manila Cargo Large boxes of usable clothings, non perishable goods and foods in coordination with Rev. Fr. Dennis Tan intended for the low lying areas in Bicol Region and Cagayan especially for those catch basins that where affected by the Super Typhoons and huge flooding.

Again, we thank everyone for their generosity and kindness. Your assistance to those in great need will surely be rewarded by God.  May we help each other not only on these trying times but in all situation whereby we are called to be a conduit of His Love and Blessing to others. And so we may continue to pray for our less fortunate brothers and sisters that they may receive the care and protection designed by God. (Photos: Good Sheperd)
