WBC interim lightweight champion Ryan Garcia announced he will next be fighting Philippine ring legend-turned-senator Manny Pacquiao.

“I will always respect what you did in and out the ring. Here’s to the best man winning,” he added.
The social media star, who stated several times in the past that Pacquiao is indeed his idol, announced the fight on Instagram.
The 22-year-old California native holds a 21-0 record, including 18 knockouts, since turning professional in 2016.
Pacquiao, meanwhile, has not fought since he defeated Keith Thurman in July 2019 where he claimed the WBA world welterweight title.
The Pacquiao camp is yet to confirm if Garcia’s latest pronouncement on social media is true.
