Taiwan is looking to begin exporting its own pork to the Philippines due to its strong demands according to Council of Agriculture officials
The export products ranged from frozen pork meat to live animals and canned foods, CNA reported.
Taiwan pork are exported to Hong Kong as the main destination, followed by Macau and Japan and they hope export to the Philippines.
This comes after World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) declares Taiwan a foot-and-mouth disease (FMD)- free country where vaccination is not practiced according to the the Council of Agriculture (COA).
A year ago, Taiwan passed various tests and verification of its FMD-free without vaccination and will be expected to export pork this 2021.
Taiwan’s pig farming industry had an output value of more than NT$71billion.
