President Rodrigo Duterte will be opted to choose from other politicians as his successor if ever her daughter Sara Duterte and Bong Go will not be running for presidency in the 2022 election, said Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.
According to the report of "24 Oras," Pres. Duterte may pick from Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, or Senator Manny Pacquiao or former senator Bongbong Marcos for presidential position.
“In the end, kapag hindi tumakbo si Sara, hindi tumakbo si Bong Go, because he will only run for president if the president will run for vice president, the president will have to choose who has the number,” shared Roque.
“He will have to choose from Isko, Manny Pacquiao, and Bong Bong Marcos kasi wala naman nang iba,” he added.
Earlier, Sara has already clarified that she may run for president in 2034 but not in 2022.
According to Roque, the candidate that the President will endorse on the coming election matters because up to now his approval rating remains high.
