The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said that migrant workers are now allowed to change to new employers with proper conditions needed.
Employers must arrange schedule or appointment to check polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test within 3 days before the acceptance date.
New employers who take over migrant workers should arrange for migrant workers' PCR test within 3 days before the renewal employment date (including the expiry transfer).
While waiting for the PCR results, the new employer should arrange its migrant worker in one room to implement epidemic prevention measures and the fee should be paid by the new employer.
If new employers continue to hire migrant workers for PCR tets, the new employer shall bear the employer’s responsibility and follow the Ministry of Labor (MOL) guidelines and cooperate with the health unit to arrange medical treatment or send to a centralized quarantine station.
If the migrant workers test negative for PCR, the new employer should follow the employer's guidelines to conduct daily health monitoring of the migrant workers and record the migrant workers' in-and-out conditions.
