Pinay fashion designer Genette Mujar, 50, is now known in Canada. She is the owner and Chief Operating Officer of his clothing company Gnetz Design.
Pero bago siya naging fashion designer, nagtrabaho muna siya bilang caretaker.
"Maraming nagtataka kung paano ko nagawa yung transition from caregiver to fashion designing," said Genette from an interview of Summit OG.
"Sabi ko, it's been my passion ever since. Naantala lang, kasi siyempre, hindi tayo kasingyaman ng iba."
She become an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) to provide a good life for his children when her family was in need.
She worked in Taiwan, before she moved to Hong Kong where he experienced being kicked out of his employers.
She moved to Canada still as a caretaker and there continued his passion for designing.
A few years later, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer because she felt that she was getting older and that she might be out of date.
Studied to a fashion school where she achieved her dreams and hired as a fashion designer in a company in Vancouver.
"Wala akong pinagsisisihan. I’m so grateful. Ito yung pinakamagandang nangyari sa buhay ko—na mabigyan ako ng chance na makapag-aral, na-recognize ako ng mga tao," ani Genette.
